On a recent sunny Sunday morning. FoRCE teamed up with the Friends of the River Medway (FoRM) to tackle some of the items on our never-ending task list, and it was great to welcome some new local volunteers as well as the FoRM pilgrims and our own regular participants.

Our multi-skilled partners from the Medway Volunteer Police Cadets once again turned out to help us spread the word about our endeavours to maintain and improve Esplanade Gardens and Churchfields.

Our May volunteer morning was one of those sessions that reminds you why volunteering is worth getting out of bed for. The sun was out, the air was fresh, and the mood was light, with close to thirty volunteers gathered on the Esplanade for a couple of hours of genuinely satisfying work.

Our intrepid volunteers gathered once again for a multitude of activites including litter picking, sea wall plant growth management and tree canopy lopping, once again achieving a splendid amount within the two hour session.
