Governance

FoRCE is committed to transparency and accountability. We have established a clear governance structure to ensure our organisation operates effectively and in line with our mission to protect and enhance Rochester’s green spaces and river walks. Our Governance page sets out our constitution, vision, annual reviews and AGMs.

Our Constitution

The constitution is the foundational document that outlines the rules, principles, and structure guiding FoRCE. It sets the framework for how we make decisions, manage resources, and achieve our goals.

Our Vision

Our Vision document outlines the long-term goals and aspirations of FoRCE. It reflects our commitment to creating a sustainable future for Rochester’s green spaces. Most importantly, it details all of the practical ideas and aspirations of how we might bring our vision to life in the long term.

Annual Reviews

Each year, we publish an annual review detailing our activities, achievements, and financial statements of the previous year. These reflect the actual actions we’ve undertaken, guided by our longer-term vision. These reviews provide valuable insight into our progress and highlight the incredible contributions of our volunteers and supporters. You can download any of our previous Annual Reviews here:

Annual General Meetings

Our AGMs are a key part of our governance structure, providing an opportunity for Members to review the organisation’s activities, financial health, and future plans. During these meetings, we elect committee members, approve key decisions, and ensure FoRCE remains accountable to its members. You can find the minutes from past AGMs here:

Why Governance Matters

Good governance is essential to the success of FoRCE. It ensures:

  • Accountability: We are responsible to our members, volunteers, and the wider community.

  • Transparency: Our decision-making processes and operations are open and clear.

  • Effectiveness: Resources are managed efficiently to maximise our impact.
