As FoRCE expands the scope of our efforts, we're looking for more volunteers to fill roles that help us achieve even more in the care and improvement of Esplanade Gardens and Churchfields. If you're looking for a way to contribute to your community, gain useful skills and experience for your CV, meet new people and improve your wellbeing, one of these positions may be of interest to you. All are flexible and only require a few hours of commitment per month, and can be arranged around your availability.
Committee
The committee is responsible for steering the organisation, ensuring we meet our obligations to our members and the law, and expanding our activities to make an even more positive impact on our cherished green spaces. Maybe you could bring your skills and motivation to one of our vacant roles?
Fundraiser
Our Fundraiser leads our efforts to generate revenue to fund our projects and activities. We're looking for someone to take on this important committee role. Could you help us raise money to do more in the community?
Treasurer
Our Treasurer takes care of our finances and makes sure we're meeting our legal obligations. We're now looking for someone to take over from our current Treasurer. Could you help us manage our money?
Helpers
Not everyone can attend volunteer sessions, but there are plenty of small behind-the-scenes tasks that make a big impact. Our Helpers are volunteers who undertake particular roles, responsibilities or projects on behalf of the committee. These can include site monitoring, leading activities, acting as first aiders, writing and maintaining our website and social media channels, or circulating leaflets to broaden our membership and community engagement. Tree Helper
Do you have a passion for trees and their vital role in our environment? FoRCE is looking for a dedicated Tree Helper to manage, increase and care for the tree population of Churchfields and Esplanade Gardens.
Hedgerow Helper
We’re looking for a Helper who is passionate about horticulture and wildlife to assist with our exciting Hedgerows project. You'll work with our committee to establish beautiful new boundaries and habitats around our green spaces.
