Adopt a Bird Box

Two nesting boxes among the boughs of a tree, with other tree canopies in the background

As part of our Churchfields Bank project, we're installing a number of bird boxes to support our local wildlife - giving residents more places to settle in, extending habitats and food sources.

Local twitchers have regularly spotted goldfinches, blue tits, great tits, robins and sparrows in the area, so we've had them in mind in the designs. You can support this work through our Adopt a Bird Box scheme - sponsor the installation and care of a bird box for £25, which helps fund the box itself, installation, and ongoing maintenance. We're also looking for a Wildlife Helper to support our work going forward - no specialist qualifications needed, just a love of the natural world and some time to give.

How You Can Help

Whether you're a seasoned birdwatcher or someone who's just noticed a magpie on their morning walk, you can be part of this. We're building up a picture of the wildlife on our patch - if you spot or hear a bird on Churchfields or the Esplanade, send us a message or share a photo. Every sighting counts!
